Love's Labors Lost?

When the heart
is cut or cracked or broken
Do not clutch it
Let the wound lie open
Let the wind
From the good old sea blow in
To bathe the wound with salt
And let it sting
Let a stray dog lick it
Let a bird lean in the hole and sing
A simple song like a tiny bell
And let it ring
Michael Leunig
Oh, life is a glorious cycle of song,
A medley of extemporanea;
And love is a thing that can never go wrong,
And I am Marie of Roumania.
Dorothy Parker
These are two poems from my Poem a Day book that seem to be so appropriate right now in part of our family's life. So called "Love" can motivate us all to do things that we subsequently regret. Not only "feelings" get hurt...little people do too. They then "Inherit the Wind". But we must all muddle through and do the best with what we are given. (or with what we choose) Time does not always heal a broken heart it just procreates another one. How sad...making it so hard to... Bob!

Hi Bob,
A friend forwarded this to me. I suppose this was meant for Soren. It is nice that you are concerned, but don't worry or fret he is just fine and has plenty of LOVE in his life. Not only does he have love, but he also has continuity and stability in knowing that the ones that LOVE him are forever and with no conditions here to stay. Things change but Soren is always told that Clark is his father and that he loves him. Good luck with your new grandchild to be...Soren loves you and Betty.

Hi Bob,
A friend emailed this blog to me. I suppose that it is refering to Soren. How sweet that your concern for him is documented in your blog. Never fret or worry for Soren he is surrounded by LOVE and honesty. There are so many that love him and are there for him for the long hall. I appreciate your concern, but you need'nt worry or fear.Soren is in the presence of one's that do not take the word love lightly or on condition. He is also always reminded that his dad is Clark and that his daddy loves him. Bob, LOVE sometimes just isn't enough. Being a MAN of your word and a solid and stable example is equally as important in raising a child (especially a boy). A lesson that Soren shall receive. Take care of yourselves and your family. :)
